My career journey
Storytelling has always been at the heart of my career. In the summer of 2010, I joined Apple Inc. as an instructional design intern within a newly established Learning & Development unit. This role offered a rare opportunity to speak directly with Steve Jobs and Tim Cook about the company’s core values, as my team crafted narratives for internal training programs. Week by week, I found myself drawing on skills from my earlier experiences in journalism, academia, and consulting—applying them in technologically dynamic, management-focused settings. It was a transformative experience that shaped the direction of my professional journey. Here are five key highlights that reflect that path.
- An award-winning journalist, a documentary executive producer, and a media executive with over 20 years of global experience across broadcast, digital, and strategic communications.
- Led a successful digital transformation that doubled content output and expanded viewership to over 100 million, while managing a high-performing cross-functional team and securing funding for multiple acclaimed documentaries.
-Demonstrated excellence in newsroom leadership, strategic planning, talent development, and public diplomacy—backed by a strong journalistic foundation at Bloomberg and Dow Jones. Works have been published by The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, Bloomberg Magazine and Yale Global.
-Skilled in cross-cultural collaboration, audience engagement, and content innovation, with a proven track record of launching impactful storytelling initiatives across platforms, borders and industries. Abilities to innovate products and develop strong creative teams have been sharpened by an internship in Silicon Valley.
-A three-time master’s graduate (MBA from Duke, Journalism from Columbia, and International Communication from American University), with deep ties to academic, media, business and civic communities. Recipient of numerous awards, including Nathanson Scholarship for Public Diplomacy and honors at the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards. Passionate about advancing media literacy, global storytelling, and ethical AI in journalism.
